What is a Cake Smash Photoshoot?
A cake smash photography session is a fun, playful and memorable photoshoot to celebrate your baby’s 1st birthday (or any milestone up to age 3!). Your little one gets their very own cake to explore, smash, squish and taste while we capture all the excitement, reactions, and joy.

Step 1 – Before Your Session: Getting Ready
A little preparation goes a long way in making your cake smash experience fun, calm and successful.
✔ Arrive On Time
Cake smash sessions run approx 60 minutes, so arriving on time ensures we capture every moment. Sessions cannot be extended due to studio scheduling, but we promise to make the most of the time we have.
✔ Make Sure Baby is Ready
• Baby’s hair done before arriving
• Outfits ready (we also provide beautiful themed outfits!)
• Headbands/bows added in studio
• Baby well rested
• Baby well fed
A happy tummy = a happy baby = happier photos!
Tip: Bring a sippy cup or bottle of water to help wash down cake along the way.
“What If My Baby Doesn’t Like Cake?”
Totally normal!
Not every baby is a cake-loving ninja 😆
If your little one is unsure about the cake, we can sneak in their favourite snacks like:

✔ fruit pieces
✔ puffs
✔ small cookies
We cleverly hide them inside the cake so it still looks like they’re loving the moment in photos. Win–win!

If baby gets overwhelmed, don’t worry. We slow down, reset calmly, and continue gently. It’s always baby-led.

Whether they go wild or gentle, every reaction is adorable!
3️⃣ Bubble Bath Splash Session
Warm water, bubbles, splashes and giggles!
This helps clean baby AND creates irresistible splash photos.
